1. Using this website
These terms cover the Foundation website, learning accounts, modules, certificates, alumni features and campaign information. Read them before registering. Use accurate account information, keep your password private and tell us if you believe your account has been misused. Do not impersonate another person or share an account to obtain a certificate for somebody else.
2. Education and medical information
The learning material is for education and professional development. It is not a diagnosis, an individual treatment recommendation or a substitute for clinical training, professional judgment, current guidance and local requirements. The website does not provide emergency care. Seek appropriate medical services for individual health concerns.
Content can become outdated or contain mistakes. Check the source and date, and report concerns to the Foundation.
Using the website, registering, viewing a lecture or sending an enquiry does not create a doctor–patient relationship with the Foundation, its speakers or contributors. Individual treatment and campaign care require separate arrangements with the responsible healthcare provider. Speakers may express their own professional opinions; these are not automatically the Foundation’s recommendations.
3. Completion certificates
Certificates record completion of the module requirements shown on the website. They do not confer a degree, licence to practise, professional qualification or academic accreditation. Do not alter a certificate or represent it as an accredited qualification.
The current learning requirements include completing every section, passing the knowledge check and, where supported for a video module, meeting the stated viewing requirement. A bookmark alone is not completion. Previously issued certificates retain their recorded details and applicable completion policy.
4. Lectures, photographs and other materials
Authors, speakers, contributors and other rights holders retain their respective rights. Access to the website does not transfer ownership or grant permission to republish its photographs, recordings, logos or other protected material. Follow any licence or permission attached to a particular item. This does not restrict uses allowed by applicable law. Contact us to request other permission.
Only submit material you are entitled to share. Do not send identifiable patient records, confidential clinical information or unnecessary sensitive information through feedback or enquiry forms.
You may view material through the features provided and, where the Foundation owns the necessary rights or the item’s licence permits, download material expressly offered for download for your own noncommercial learning and professional development. Keep attribution and rights notices. This permission does not authorise public redistribution, resale, recording or re-uploading lectures, making shared content collections, or using another person’s account. Separate item licences and uses permitted by applicable law remain unaffected.
Do not remove rights notices, bypass download or access restrictions, or bulk-copy protected material. Automated collection, dataset creation or use for AI/model training requires permission from the relevant rights holder unless permitted by applicable law or an express item licence. The Foundation cannot grant rights over third-party content beyond the permissions it holds.
5. Campaigns and volunteering
Campaign announcements, activities and reports describe the information recorded by the Foundation. Planned dates and arrangements may change. An enquiry, volunteer application or expression of interest does not guarantee treatment, admission, an appointment, a place on a campaign or a volunteer role. Specific arrangements must be confirmed with the relevant organisers.
6. Alumni and external services
Alumni access is subject to administrator review. Members choose whether to appear in the private alumni directory. Joining a WhatsApp group requires a separate step and may reveal your phone number to other group members.
External websites, embedded media and partner services have their own terms and privacy practices. Linking to an organisation does not itself guarantee endorsement of every item of its content.
Partner, supporting-company and professional-society names and logos belong to their respective owners. Their display identifies the relationship described on the relevant page; it does not by itself establish accreditation, approval of certificates, or endorsement of any treatment, device, product, clinician or institution. Any specific accreditation or endorsement must be expressly stated and independently confirmed.
7. Responsible use and availability
Do not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service, misuse personal data or submit abusive, unlawful or misleading material. Access may need to be restricted for security, maintenance or misuse. Contact the Foundation if you believe access has been restricted in error.
Do not upload malicious code, send spam or unsolicited promotions, harass others, harvest alumni or other personal information, automate certificate completion, evade an account restriction, or probe or bypass security and access controls. Automated tools must not overload the service or collect restricted content. Ordinary public search indexing is permitted only where public access and the site’s indexing instructions allow it; this does not authorise reuse of protected content.
We aim to keep information and services useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that all content is free of error. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or removes rights you have under applicable law.
8. Changes, privacy and contact
Changes will be identified by an updated document version. Material changes affecting an existing account require appropriate notice and, where legally required, renewed agreement; this page does not give permission to impose hidden or retrospective changes.
The separate Privacy Notice explains how website-related personal information is handled. Agreement to these terms is not consent to marketing or to every possible use of personal information. Contact the operator above with questions or concerns.
9. Feedback and contributed material
You retain your rights in material you submit. By submitting feedback or a support request, you permit the Foundation to receive, store, review and use it as reasonably necessary to respond, administer and improve the relevant service, consistent with the Privacy Notice. Private feedback is not permission to publish your name, patient information or submission publicly.
Public use of a contributed lecture, recording, photograph, testimonial or campaign material requires a separate, specific permission or contributor agreement covering the intended use, attribution and any necessary permissions from identifiable people. Submitting an enquiry alone does not grant a perpetual promotional licence. Only share material you are authorised to provide, and disclose relevant sponsorship or conflicts when contributing educational material.
The Foundation may decline, restrict or remove submitted material for rights, privacy, safety or relevance concerns. Submission does not guarantee publication or payment. Any agreed compensation or broader publication rights must be arranged separately.
10. Reporting rights, privacy or content concerns
Contact the Foundation using its published contact details to report suspected copyright or trademark infringement, a privacy concern or unsafe or inaccurate content. Identify the page or item with its URL, describe the concern and your connection to the affected rights, and provide a way to reply. For a rights complaint, identify the original work or mark and explain why you believe the use is unauthorised. Do not include unnecessary confidential or patient information.
The Foundation will review reports and may request clarification, temporarily restrict access or remove material where appropriate. Relevant complaint details may be shared with the contributor where necessary to investigate, subject to applicable privacy requirements. This reporting route does not replace any statutory notice procedure or limit either party’s legal remedies.
11. Account restriction and termination
The Foundation may restrict or end account access where reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach, fraud, certificate manipulation, security risks, unlawful activity or a legal obligation. Immediate restriction may be necessary to protect users or the service. Where appropriate and lawful, the Foundation will explain the reason and give an opportunity to respond or correct the issue.
Contact the Foundation to request review of a restriction you believe is mistaken. Do not create another account to evade it. Restricting access does not itself erase account records or automatically invalidate a previously earned certificate; deletion and any correction of a misleading or improperly obtained certificate require separate review. Applicable rights and the Privacy Notice continue to apply.
12. Questions, disputes and general provisions
Raise questions or disputes through the Foundation’s published contact details, describing the relevant event, page or account and the outcome you seek. The Foundation will seek to resolve concerns reasonably. Contacting the Foundation is not a mandatory barrier to a complaint authority or court, does not suspend legal time limits, and does not waive your rights.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by applicable law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not automatically waive it on another. These website terms do not replace separate clinical-care, volunteer, contributor or other expressly agreed arrangements. Neither language version is designated as automatically overriding the other; any discrepancy should be raised for clarification without reducing mandatory rights.
Nothing here creates a blanket release, an indemnity for all account activity, or a fixed monetary cap on the Foundation’s liability. Responsibility and available remedies remain subject to applicable law. No exclusive court or governing-law clause is selected in this draft.
